What It Is

A new way to experience
the window.

Glimpse Into the Virtual Nature is a transparent OLED-based window concept designed to bring calming natural scenery into urban interiors, hospitals, wellness spaces, and living environments where access to nature is limited.

This system reimagines the window as more than a surface for viewing the outside world. By combining transparent OLED technology with customizable digital nature scenes, it turns ordinary urban views into immersive, calming, and restorative visual experiences.

The Problem

Urban life often disconnects
us from nature.

Many people live, work, or heal in spaces surrounded by dense buildings, traffic, and limited natural views. This project responds to that disconnection by creating a window system that brings the emotional quality of nature into interior spaces.

The Solution

Nature, layered onto
your existing view.

The system uses a transparent digital display layer to overlay selected nature scenes onto the window. Forests, oceans, mountains, gardens, or soft daylight atmospheres — without removing the connection to the outside world.

How It Works

Real view meets
digital nature.

The user selects a desired atmosphere, and the transparent OLED layer displays a nature-inspired scene across the window surface. The result is a personalized visual environment that changes the mood of the room while keeping the window functional and connected to the outside.

Technology

A layered
architectural interface.

Four integrated layers work together to transform the window into a living, responsive surface — displaying nature without removing the connection to the outside world.

04Digital Nature Library
01

Transparent OLED Display

An ultra-thin screen you can see through. Displays lifelike nature scenes at 4K resolution while maintaining up to 80% base transparency when inactive. When turned off, it is indistinguishable from standard glass.

4K resolution · 80% transparency · sub-millimeter thickness

02

Smart Glass Layer

An electrochromic interlayer that controls opacity, light transmission, and privacy on demand. Transitions from fully transparent to fully opaque in under two seconds without any mechanical parts.

0–100% opacity · 2s full transition · UV & IR blocking

03

Ambient Light Control

Integrated photosensors continuously adapt brightness and color temperature throughout the day, matching the displayed scene to real ambient conditions for a seamless visual experience and circadian rhythm support.

Auto-adaptive · Circadian rhythm support · Full dimming range

04

Digital Nature Library

A curated, continuously expanding collection of high-resolution nature environments — forests, oceans, mountains, and atmospheric light scenes — each with seasonal and time-of-day variations, streamed or stored locally.

50+ environments · 4K HDR · Seasonal & time-of-day modes

Develop Concepts

Craft your own ambient theme.

Compose a personalised theme — scenery, sound, light, and rhythm — and carry it across the spaces you inhabit. Home, hotel suite, retreat cabin: every Nature Window becomes a canvas that remembers the atmosphere you call yours.

Interactive Theme Generator

Design your atmosphere
in four touches.

Pick a mood, a view, an effect, and an intensity. The system combines your choices and outputs a custom window theme — name, atmosphere, palette, and the ambience that fits the room.
